Established in 2000 as RMS - Residential Maintenance Services, we began serving residential customers in the southern twin cities suburbs; providing lawn mowing, spring and fall clean-ups, snow removal, gutter cleaning, and general household repairs and maintenance.

Since our humble beginnings, we have changed our service offerings to meet the needs of our of our clients. We have added services that are of value to property owners, and discontinued those services that were not in demand.

In 2005, we changed our name to RMS Outdoor to better signify our focus on outdoor maintenance services. We also entered into a partnership with LCS Lawn Service, a leading midwest lawn care company, to provide fertilizer and weed control programs for our customers. LCS was named one of the top 5 lawn care companies in the twin cities by a local consumer advocacy magazine, and was featured on KARE 11 for this significant acheivement as well. 2005 also marked the beginning of our expansion into the commercial lawn & landscape maintenance market.
